What should I pack?
Campers should consider packing the following:
*Sleeping bag and pillow
*Clothes for all types of weather (from warm and sunny to rainy and muddy)
*Swimsuits and towels (a back up of each is recommended)
*Toiletries (bugspray, sunscreen, toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.)
*Running shoes, sandals and rain boots/crocs (for creek stomping!)
*Medications (all medications will be kept in the First Aid Cabin and distributed
by the First Aider as directed)
Campers should not bring the following:
(Gesstwood is not responsible for any stolen, lost or damaged items)
*iPods, MP3 players, Nintendo DS, Gameboys, hair dryers, etc.(all electronics)
*Bikinis, tube tops and any other clothing deemed inappropriate by the Executive Director

How do you accommodate for dietary restrictions or campers' allergies?
Our kitchen staff will make sure all camper's dietary restrictions and allergies are taken care of during your child's week at Gesstwood. Gesstwood strives to be a peanut-free facility and we are constantly doing our best to ensure all allergies and diets are accommodated. Campers with any food restrictions will be guaranteed a nutritious meal and an appetizing alternative. Based on weekly dietary restrictions our camp menu is constantly be adjusted to ensure all campers receive the same meals and same options regardless of restrictions. Some parents will opt to bring certain menu items (milk, bread, desserts, etc.) that their child can specifically eat to ensure their child has options and enjoys the food they are served.
